Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is the latest iteration of the CPR course and is the leading CPR refresher course. It supersedes the old HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.

This is a concise life-saving course focusing on the key tenets of providing CPR (including DRSABCD protocol and safe and effective defibrillation (AED) use) in line with key recommendations from the following Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines:

ANZCOR Guideline 3 – Recognition and First Aid Management of the Unconscious Person

ANZCOR Guideline 4 – Airway

ANZCOR Guideline 5 – Breathing

ANZCOR Guideline 6 – Compressions

ANZCOR Guideline 7 – Automated External Defibrillation in Basic Life Support

ANZCOR Guideline 8 – Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Mode of Delivery

The following units will be included in your certificate: HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).This course, CPR can be conducted in the workplace or at facility organised by the training provider.Sydney ABC First Aid is partnered with Allens Training Pty Ltd (RTO 90909) which will issue a nationally recognised CPR, First Aid, Asthma, Anaphylaxis, Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) and First Aid in ESI Environment certificate.

Duration

Pre-online Theory and multiple choice  with face-to-face Practical CPR assessment.

Assessment

Performance tasks and practical scenarios:

  • Perform CPR on an adult (incl. the use of an AED and placing a casualty into the recovery position)
  • Perform CPR on an infant

Theory assessment: A written assessment consisting of multiple-choice questions.

Our HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation ( CPR) (prev. HLTAID001) is a nationally accredited and we will provide all participants with your annual CPR refresher qualification to be confident in providing CPR and use an AED in their workplace and any other required sitiuations.

Our course is hands on with many practical and real life senarios.
