Finding us from Miranda
Our training room is at 18 Station Street, Kogarah NSW 2217 – about 14 minutes and 9.8 km from Miranda by car, north over Tom Uglys Bridge, or a direct train with no changes at all. Station Street runs alongside Kogarah railway station, which is what makes the train option so straightforward from the Shire.
Below is the drive, the rail option, the parking and what to have with you. For course content and local detail, see the CPR course in Miranda page.

Parking near 18 Station Street
Street parking on and around Station Street is time-limited, with town centre car parks as the fallback. Coming from Miranda, budget ten extra minutes: hospital traffic on Gray Street and the Princes Highway makes the closest spaces scarce early.
Accessible parking and a drop-off point are available close to the entrance. If a participant needs either, tell us when you book rather than on the morning and we will make sure it is clear.
Coming by train or bus
Miranda and Kogarah are both on the T4 Eastern Suburbs and Illawarra line – Miranda on the Cronulla branch – so it is a single service with no changes. You board at Miranda station beneath Westfield and get off at Kogarah, then walk two to three minutes from the Station Street exit.
On a weekday morning the train is comfortably the better option, because it avoids both The Kingsway and the Tom Uglys Bridge approach, which are the two slow points on the drive. For a full-day first aid course it also removes any concern about outlasting a time-limited parking bay.
What to bring on the day
- Photo ID – driver licence or passport
- Your Unique Student Identifier. Nationally recognised training cannot be certified without a USI, and it is free to create online before you leave undefined
- Clothing you can kneel in, because the practical happens on the floor
- Any pre-course learning, plus your existing certificate if this is a renewal
Arriving from Miranda
The two slow points on this route are The Kingsway around Westfield and the Tom Uglys Bridge approach, and they are slow at the same time of morning. Miranda participants who take the train almost never mention arriving late; those who drive frequently do. If you must drive, leaving fifteen minutes early is more useful than any route choice.
Book a course before you travel
Secure the date first. Because numbers are deliberately limited, sessions fill quickly – the course pages carry live dates and fees ($50.00, $100.00 and $110.00 for HLTAID009, HLTAID011 and HLTAID012). Groups from Miranda often prefer a trainer to attend their own site.
